My first post features a commissioned painting that I was asked to paint from a photograph. A group of 13 friends had taken a group-photograph and wanted to commemorate the occasion with a painting. I was asked to include 3 close friends that had passed, and to also feature the front of the shop which belongs to the main man that was celebrating his 60th birthday. I began the painting 27th June and added the final touches on the 15th August. There wasn’t a rush for this order so I took a few breaks in between to work on developing my occasion cards, the website as well as attending exhibitions and events.
Each person gave their permission for me to feature this work, but for confidentiality purposes, I will blur the faces of the original photograph. They have asked for an A2/A3 sized framed print of the final painting, and the person who commissioned the work received the signed original painting. The original is an A2 sized canvas and painted with acrylic paint. A Certificate of Authenticity was provided with the original.
I have truly enjoyed working on this project and happy that everyone featured in the painting, was happy with their character.
